Is $500 insanely expensive for getting my roof painted black? That's what I was quoted from a place here in AZ, I know they do fantastic work, they'd done it on a matte green IS 06-08 with carbon fiber everywhere (lip, spoiler, roof spoiler)... not sure if this is a member on our forums...

Should I seek somewhere else to get this done at, or is this reasonable? I read somewhere here in the forums a while ago someone had it done for like $80, but I know that's crazy..

$500 is way too much. I got my roof painted gloss black for $300 awhile back.

no kidding? Where in austin did you have this done? maybe I'll wait until I get back to Austin then... I'm having trouble finding places in phoenix that will vinyl it..

i know someone who does vinyl, he is mobile so he will come to you. there's also a cl member in the mesa area who's a painter if you want to go that route. pm me if you want more info.

In SoCal you can get a vinyl roof wrap in matte or gloss black for around $150-200. I was quoted for a little more with 3m'S Di-Noc carbon fiber.

I had my roof painted for about $500 notional, but it included some other work so I'd put the actual price around $350. NorCal labor is a bit more expensive though.

wrap it, if you decide to sell the car later on you can just peel off the roof.
