Default How do you prep for a road trip?

I have a 2010 IS250 AWD with 28,500 miles and this weekend weekend i'll be driving nonstop from Wayne, NJ to Miami, FL (about 1300 miles).

Other then a JoeZ intake with the f sport cutout mod and 5000K HID lights (55w in headlights, 35w in fog lights) the car is all stock.

What do you do to prepare your IS for a long trip?

This is what i've done so far:

Oil and filter change (Mobil 1 5w30, oem oil filter)
Rotated and Balanced tires
4 Wheel alignment
Replaced cabin air filter
New K&N Engine air filter
Replaced Wiper blades and applied Rain X to all windows
Set front tires to 35psi, rear to 38psi (while tires are cold)
Checked all fluid levels
Checked front and rear brakes
Checked front and rear suspension components.
Wash and Wax car (used Turtle Wax Black Box)

Any other recommendations?

Its not that serious. Oil change, check tires, check fluids, and make sure you have proper tools for a flat in case you get one.

Dang you guys seriously tape up your car and hit the road . I just drive but I guess the blue tape is a good idea. I am to lazy for that. I feel like you get more rock chips around town then on a road trip.

Ya, don't do that stuff BEFORE the trip. If something got messed up, you don't want it to happen on the road. If the cars running great, just leave it. And do the stuff when you're back home.

I'd say that's pretty good. Don't forget to include some basic survival stuff, like water, matches or lighters, simple stuff. You never know when something will happen and before you know it you've rolled your car in the woods and there's nobody for miles and miles, just like in Texas...
