Just wanted to say thanks to the OP for one of the best DIYs I've ever come across. Used this guide to install the 2012 headlights into my ISF and went smooth as butter. Glad that the ISx50 and ISF bumper removal is essentially the same!

Did you have to get a headlight alignment when you were finished? My beam pattern was a bit off horizontally and it was definitely aimed more downward instead of down the road. I'll have to fix it in the morning.

Amazing guide! Very detailed and will help a lot of people (like me) in the future should they plan to upgrade to new lights!

does anyone know if this is an OEM part? or aftermarket?

I was in a collision and I might be able to have these parts installed as a replacement for the OEM. The insurance is paying $2272.19 for the headlamp replacement. To me this kit would be worth the "upgrade cost" but i am concerned about long term quality. The shop is willing to install it if i order the parts, but they will not warrant it unless its considered an OEM part.

Thanks.

Yes, they are OEM

I dont think any company makes aftermarket headlights for our cars

Spec-D makes an aftermarket headlight for the IS that has black housing and has the same LED set up as these. Not sure the cost or availability though.

I guys, so here is my concern, i have an 06' IS and i am planning to get the led headlights off of the 2011 IS, what are the modifications i will be facing to get them work on my 06' IS. The headlights dont come with anything, so i guess i have to reuse my old ballast and old D4S bulbs, also do i need any modifications on rewiring the connectors. Also where can i get the relay flasher for the conversion ? Thanks guys and happy new year to you all.

I have an 06 as well. If you get the "loaded" version it's plug n play. If you get the stripped version you may save a bit but you'll have to locate a couple of parts yourself and do some splicing I believe.

you need a few things, you need the LED connection which has the indicator plug which you can get from the dealer...you need 2 of them, you also need two grey caps to cover the bright light area, and the last thing is the indicator relay. If i can find the part numbers I'll PM you them...
Ryan, do you have these part #s by chance??

Can anyone help out? I have a 2010, so would I need the "loaded" headlights? Or the stripped version with just the flash relay?

Anyone in LA/orange county area know how to do this, including rewiring for DRL?
Was going to go to musicbox ($250.00) for the install. but if someone is willing to do it for less and knows what they are doing, holler @ me. I don't own any jacks, jack stands, or the tools to do the job.

Two important questions, did your car come with HID's from the factory? If yes, do you feel comfortable disassembling the headlight or the ballast connector to be able to remove the ballast from your old headlights?
