The FR-S uses the same Torsen as the IS300, which is a 205mm T2 unit. The IS-F LSD is basically the same design only larger, 208mm.

I'm still looking for a used 2010+ ISF pumpkin. Hard to find believe it or not. Already got the spare IS350 pumpkin to drop the LSD into.

Hopefully you can find the ISF diff.

I have to say this mod has made my IS250 very fun.

^Yeah, I miss my Quaife LSD I had in my Civic. Wish I had never sold that self-built trans, though...what good would it do me with no more Hondas. LOL!

It was a D-series trans; been a D-series guy since day 1. Love being the underdog. Look at it's billet goodness :

...and take a look from whom I purchased it from! The Honda Engine Plant in Anna, OH!

I've been wondering what the "feel" differences might be between the helical and the Torsen plated LSDs. Driven both in FWD, but I'm positive it is quite different with RWD. New 2IS Quaife LSD vs used ISF Torsen LSD...hmmmmm, decisions decisions.

The Torsen is a helical-gear type LSD. It will feel very similar to the Quaife, though they likely have different torque bias ratios. I've not driven on both so I can't really comment.

Nice work B16da9! And to Jeff Lange too! This is a great thread. This is a mod that I'm very interested in. This is one of the rare times that I'm glad I got an IS250.

How's the handling in corners?
