Need Opinions and ideas ASAP
 

I know that maybe this is not the right place to post this. But im just giving it a shot. Im planning on selling my 2010 IS 250 but i dont know how much i should ask. The car is like new. Paint amazing. interiors amazing. Only 5800 miles. Vossen wheels and BC Racing suspension. Car has navigation, ventilated seats, i dont remember what packages i got when i bought it. I have the factory suspension and the staggered 18 inch wheels. Brand new tires in both sets. Can you guys give me an idea. Thanks

I can tell you that you will make more by selling the car with stock wheels and then selling the wheels separately on CL or elsewhere. That's because your wheels are extremely distinctive and will only appeal to certain tastes.

The chances of finding someone who wants to buy your 2010 IS250 are good. The chances of finding someone who wants to buy your wheels for their own car, whatever it may be, are also good. The likelihood of finding someone who wants a 2010 IS250 with those options as well as those specific wheels is extremely slim.

I agree. Same goes with the coils.

+1 for the part out idea - only wheels and suspension in this case - then selling the vehicle in its stock form. It will appeal to a wider range of prospects, you'll move it quicker, and earn a few extra dollars.

As for a suggested asking price, check its black/blue book value along with comps on Cars.com or AutoTrader.com.

Car looks good and seemed well kept inside and out.

Are you thinking of selling it to a private party or will you be trading it in?

Your car has low miles and it will surely attract a lot of buyers:thumbup:

I would put the stock suspension and wheels back on it and then use the classifieds section here and whatever other ways you want to sell both of them.

Once you got the stock parts back on:

1. Use a site like www.kbb.com to determine the approx. value of your car

2. Go to a Carmax (if there's one near you) and ask for a trade in value. The number is usually kind of low, but at least you'll know what you can get for it at minimum. You may also want to go to a Lexus dealership and have them value your trade-in and see how much they will offer for comparison.

I'd price your car around what KBB tells you and see if you get any offers (and obviously don't take any offers lower than what Carmax or any other dealer offered you)

But start with returning it to stock :)

It sucks to remove that suspension. I just installed it on 2 weeks ago. I check nada and kbb. Both of them says that a clean trade in can be 31000. Thanks

^It does suck, like when I spent 5.5yrs building my boosted Civic...and was able to tear it all down in one weekend to part it all out.

I don't want too. But i got transfer to key west and i haven't used the car in weeks. Its been sitting in my carport all this time. And if i use it is to drive 2 miles from my house to my work. 2nd Down here Nobody cares about others people cars. I've seen people throwing shopping cars at BMW's, Scooters hitting cars and running away. I don't want to see that happening to my baby. I don't want to waste a nice car like this, I think someone can enjoy it more than i do. I really love my car.

Pay to have the coils removed and install your stock suspension in. It'll save the hassle. While it's there have them reinstall the stock wheels if you have them.
