Ok guys!! I don't care about automatic windows using your key. I have an 06 is250. As we all know, they are not cheap cars. IS series are considered luxury sedans but my car has no automatic TRUNK LIFT. I have some problems with my right hand, and I wish my car had this feature. Does the is350 or IS-F have it?
Do the new models have it? Can somebody explain what went wrong in the making of these models?
Again, they are not cheap and in my opinion, they should have it.

Are you referring to the car remote or what? What is "automatic trunk lift" ?
What he means by that automatic trunk lift is what the Rx and LS has. Even the 2005 Rx has the automatic trunk lift thing. its a button on your trunk, you press it, and it automatically closes for you. Not sure about opening it tho.

Guys, guys!!! If you have nothing positive to add to a valid question, don't post any nonsese. I figure, you guys own cars. Therefore, you guys are adults. Act like adults and keep you stereotype comments to yourself. It is not nice!!
Trunk lift works when you press the trunk button on your key or trunk and it lifts and closses very smoothly. It just hursts when the trunk is let go and it slams really hard. Eventually, those of you who do not need it now, will realize it will be a nice thing to have and avoid the slaming on the trunk.
Some people who do modifications on the trunk (e.g. spoilers) crack, fall off because of the impact going on. Wish you can avoid that???
^ Gotcha. I have that that on my dad's 2010 RX350.
I'm guess they don't have it on the sedans because of what LDNN said. It's for short people and that the whole hatch for SUVs are huge. I believe it's a more recent luxury made for SUVs only and not something small like sedans. Yes, Lexus isn't a cheap brand but it's not a necessity for them to have that in a sedan. For the people who mold their spoilers onto their trunks, that's their problem. They find ways to make it work without damaging it.
Yeah, they stopped having the remote come setup for the windows from factory because supposedly a lot of people would have the remote pressed in their pockets without knowledge, have the windows roll down and sunroof open while walking away from the car and then it would rain or whatever so people complained. You can still get it to do it but the dealership has to program it with the personalized settings.
The automatic trunk would be a nice thing to have, I have it on my Rx and it is a good feature. I guess the trunk on the IS is light enough and easy enough to close... and to open, when you hit the release on the remote it pops open almost half way anyway so I'm good with it as it is.
Can somebody explain what went wrong in the making of these models?.
So you thread-jack, make a random comment about a feature 99.9% of the population hasn't even thought about much less asked for, and expect good responses? Did you not realize the "feature" wasn't there when you bought the car? I have never seen a sedan that does this. Minivan? Check. Big SUV? Check. Smalll Sedan...
