It's real simple - if you have a electric tester - it should take you no more than 15 minutes - even thats too long....

get one of these for $10 and your set

http://www.ebay.com/itm/350101500608...#ht_3521wt_981

But then you'll need a mount cause the suction cups that come with the radar sucks.

I have the 8500 x2 (the blue matches the dash lights) and love the way the BLEND mounts looks, but am feeling cheap and do not want to spend $80 for the mount.

FYI: if your radar detector is hard wired, it is generally covered by your car insurance. If you plug it in the traditional way - it is only covered by home owners or renters ins.

Looking good! I diy'd my own blendmount and it actually came out pretty great.

Your detector is mounted wrong though, in your pics it angled upwards. You need to adjust it so that it's level with the car otherwise your detector wont do you much good.

Thanks but it's actually as straight as can be with out resting on the mirror. And it does work fine

I wish it could be straighter but that's the best i can do - same way it mounted in my IS300 and worked good their too.
