quick question for everyone, is black black obsidian the same are black onyx?

im going to buy the roof spoiler and trunk lip for my car from OEM.THING on ebay.

i believe my color is black obsidian.... and om.thng doesnt have that color. so should i get onyx?

pretty much the same if you are buying spoilers and similar things. you can only tell the difference if you are going to paint your onyx car with an obsidian paint

I have an 06' which is the only year Black Onyx. I've parked to my buddies Obsidian and its pretty much the same. I think if you get the spoiler, you'd be just fine!

obsidian has a glassy and glossy appearance while onyx on the other hand has a blend of color consisting of white,gray/black texture that makes a duller finish.they are pretty much the same unless you look closer and you could tell the difference.

? are you sure? my cr is an 06 too i believe but the lexus website claims its a obisdian

2006 didn't have Obsidian, it was Black Onyx.

Paint code for Obsidian is 212, Black Onyx is 202.

Black obsidian is darker compared to onyx. The obsidian compliments the black, while the onyx, mica makes it a grayer black. The obsidian is a darker shade of black and has zero mica
