For reference sake, I got $750 below invoice way back in 2008 when these cars were still relatively fresh. Should be even better deals today, this late in the 2IS game.
Best way to get the price down is to email multiple dealers. Don't stick with just one because he'll get you in his "box." When you get several competing for your business, the price drops real fast.

Prices did go up for 2012 though.

I say bad deal. I got my 2011 350 F-Sport w/ Nav for $41,200. Why not pay the extra 2k for 100 extra ponies?

I just bought (the day after xmas) a new 2011 IS350 in Matador Red with nav, premium package (heated/cooled seats), 18" wheels, spoiler, tint, f sport exhaust, and smart card key for $41,000 (the sticker was $45k before the exhaust, tint, or key upgrades). I got 2.9% APR for 6 years. I feel like I did OK.

Eh, I got my 2011 IS250 F- Sport with Nav and HID's for 36k in April. Still when the 2011's were hot and new.

I was working a deal for around 32k for a 2011 base 250 with no Nav or HID's.
