Navi Override / Update
A few questions about Navi on 2007 IS-350
1) Can navigation be override so that I can operate while the car is in motion?
2) How do I go about doing it? Once it's done, is it permanent? I think I read somewhere that once the car is turn off, it goes back to its original state and will not be able to operate navi while in motion.
3) Can the system still be overridden if I install a new map update? I'm thinking about the ver 8.1 since I can the original disc for a good price.
Thanks!

NVK-03 if all you need is to bypass navigation, bluetooth and mp3 folders

NT3203 if you want to bypass all of above + video in motion (if you have mark levinson and/or ipod or video input from vaistech, navtools, etc)

Awesome!! That's what I was looking for. I feel like I'm so behind since I just recently became a member of the Lexus family.
So with the Beat-Sonic NVK-03, I can just pop in any map version disc update and still continue to use the features while in motion?
Now, who do I take this to for a clean install? I'm in So. Cal (626) area. I just don't feel comfortable doing this myself.

In addition to BeatSonic, Prestigious Society offers a plug and play override module: http://www.prestigioussociety.com/?page_id=138
The VaisTech SL2iC iPod integration kit also includes navigation override as one of its features, although this kit appears to have been discontinued as it's no longer on the VaisTech website.
You can create a "hybrid" navigation DVD, which gives you a temporary software override (reverts after turning your car off): https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...007-isx50.html
You can modify the wires yourself: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...witch-diy.html

Which does the CL community like better? Beat-Sonic or Prestigious Society?
Which will have a cleaner install? Which manufactures a high quality product?
I really appreciate all the info. It's hard to "catch up" with all the info and mods available. Thanks CL!!!

Just found out that when you push the button for override on the beat-sonic, your GPS antenna is off. So after inputting data, you have to push the button again to turn on override. Is this correct?
Is the PS one just like Beat-sonic? If so, I might have to rethink if I want to spend the money for this as this is still somewhat troublesome to deal with.
