Konnichiwa CL. Just bought my first Lexus, a 2006 IS350 with 88k miles, the sport package, nav and bone stock. I wanted to first introduce myself and give a BIG thank you to everyone that has posted on this site. It is in large part of ya'll that I made a purchace of a car without ever ONCE seeing it in person. Sounds crazy, right. But let me explain. I am a United States Marine stationed overseas in Okinawa, Japan with my 24 month tour over here about to come to an end. So I needed new wheels for my stateside return. I was looking to get a newer foreign sedan but never thought I would be getting a Lexus. My wife who lives back at our home in Tampa, REALLY loved the new IS. I didnt think it was in reach financially. Yet after doing research online and coming across your site, i feel hard for Lexy. I found a guy selling the 06 350 on craigslist about 30 minutes from my house in the states. I had my wife and a buddy meet up with him and have it checked over. I pulled the carfax and made an offer of 16k to the gentleman even though he was asking 18k. He told me he would keep my offer in mind but said he really didnt want to let it go for so low. 2 weeks later I got an email and we agreed on the 16k offer. The money has been wired and the title is on the way to my wife and we are having it dropped off tomorrow. Im stoked to be joining the fam. Thanks again CL.

Thanks fellas. Pics will be up as soon as the wifey sends me some. MrBBQ, I'm a 3112. DMO. Any of y'all know any CL members in the Tampa area? I will be home from 22Dec till 4Jan and would love to meet some fellow Lexus owners and get some ideas...

^^^Ditto. Thank you for your service, and coming from a fellow '06 Sport Package owner, you will love the car!! Ironically, I also bought my car sight unseen (until the papers were signed). However, it was a CPO car from Sewell Lexus in Dallas, so it was very low risk! I only wish I would have gotten as good a deal as you did!!
