Default Is extended warranty transferable?

So here is my situation, I bought my IS250 AWD new back in nov 09 and at the time i purchased an extended warranty of 7 years 100k , the extended one has not started yet of course and i know it is refundable if dont use it...however now there is a IS350 that i am eyeing which doesnt cost much more than what they are offering on my trade in, so my question is will my extended warranty able to transfer over to the is350 or will i have to get it refunded and buy another one?

You can transfer your warranty to a new owner (if it's not a dealer) for $50. You can not transfer it to a different vehicle.

If you can get it refunded in full, do that, then just buy a new one on the 350.

Negative, i believe the IS350 warranty is a bit more expensive lol

But if your buying the warranty from the same place, and your IS250 warranty was refundable, i don't see why they wouldn't just credit the refund amount towards the new warranty on the IS350 and just have you pay the difference, if any.

not transferable but refundable prorated depend on many months/years left when you terminate the warranty-

First off, it's refunded on a prorated basis no matter whether you've used it or not.

Secondly, VSA warranties begin from the date of purchase, NOT the expiration of your factory warranty. The 7 year/100k mile warranty runs for 7 years from the purchase date or until your car reaches 100k miles. So your warranty has actually started. If you bought it in 2009, you now have 5 years remaining on the warranty. So if you try to get a refund, you will only get 5/7 of the price you paid, or you will get your current mileage/100k, whichever is a smaller fraction.

And no, that warranty won't transfer to another car, only to a private buyer for $50 if sold. The warranty goes with the car, not the person, and your current warranty is on a 250, not a 350.
