Question Are all factory navigation systems Mark Levinson systems??

Recently started looking at IS350s. Found one at a local dealer today. 08 38000 miles loaded w navi.

The dealer was unsure if this was the Mark Levinson system. Are all navigation units a part of the Mark Levinson package, or was that an additional upgrade from the factory?

No, ML systems will have the logo to the right of the "LEXUS" logo. Not all of them will have it.

Damn. It doesn't have that. How much better is the ML system vs. stock?

Please don't start the non-ML vs ML posts again

You can get Nav without ML
You can get ML without nav
You can get both together.

3 entirely different configurations, all possible on the 2IS.

The third one is the only one that plays DVDs though.

ML without navi is no longer an option, on a new IS that is.

Correct, but it was an option for most of the years the 2IS has been sold, and the OP was discussing used cars... (an 08 for example)

See also passenger-side memory, AFS, or PCS which were also options for most of the time the 2IS existed but are no longer available on brand new ones.
