Actually Happened last week but it took me this long to finally get over it an post some pics. The story is that I was following a SUV on the hwy and they hit a Large Traffic cone "the ones with a weight on the bottom" then the cone shot out and flew towards my car. I tried to dodge it but it cleaned the driver side of my bumper. And The guy that hit the cone didn't even stop. The Front GFX lip was dust and my fog light shattered. Im Just Glad thats all that happened. Insurance already cut me a check and I'm just waiting for the parts from sewell.

damn that sucks, but it could of been worse...from the title of your thread i was thinking your car was totaled.

 

that sucks, sorry to see that. insurance should take care of it though but deductibles suck. GL with the fix.

Seems like a lot of damages have something to do with flying objects on the highway. I feel for ya! But are you get a new bumper?

 

sorry to hear that. something similar happened to me with a piece of tire and scratched up my bumper and knocked my fog light like n inch down.

 

That sucks man, but it seems like it's all working out. It's amazing how naked the bumper looks without a lip...even one as subtle as the gfx.

 

Glad you didn't get hurt and damage wasn't any worse.

Out of something bad comes something good. I would have paid more for an aftermarket lip, but you got new stuff.

Consider the 2011 bumper upgrade with your insurance check! Almost same thing happened to me on the freeway, a van shot up a piece of tire and mangled up my bumper, etc.. but I used the check to get the 2011 bumper. Parts still in my garage, I really need to get it painted but no time!
