Default Fitment, performance advice for 2011 F-Sport with spacers

Hey all, hoping someone with experience could advise.

I'm thinking about conservative sized hubcentric spacers to help me get close to flush. I don't want to lower my car or get new wheels, I just don't want so much offset between the fender and the wheel.
  • What is this going to do to my handling?
  • What size spacer would you suggest so I don't change the balance of under/oversteer?
  • Would this affect body roll?
  • Lets say I hit a really big dip at speed, will it cause the tire to bottom out and hit the wheel well?

I have stock 18 x 8.5-in fsport wheels with 255/40YR18 tires and the stock fsport suspension.

Thanks,

if f-sport wheels are et45, 15mm f&r should do the trick. ^^10mm spacers would need extended lugs, no?

I've never liked the idea of spacers, but I have wondered how the OEM F Sport wheels would look pushed out a bit. Any one have any pics? I'd like to know the same info that the OP asked!

You may want to leave it as it is if your not going to lower it. It would look silly with the wheels pushed out but you still have a huge gape between the wheel and the fender. It would give a monster truck effect as you will see more of the top of the tire. If you lower then it will look much better as you won"t see the top of the tire.

What kind of wheels you got on your ride? I think I am going to do the V2s same size, but I got stock 18 F-Sport Lowering Springs and shocks ...

I have the G spyder wheels and running 15mm front and 20mm rear. No problems here and I personally think that it gives it a little bit more aggressive stance. I haven't really noticed much of a handling difference but I also don't really push the car.

do you have to cut the studs for the v2 and v1 spacers? i am also looking for spacers, but want ones i dont have to do any mods to the studs. Also would it be safe to use spacers on a road course?

there is no need to cut the studs as they are too short, so you will need to place new studs for the v1 and no additional mods are needed for the v2.

I attempted to install Akata spacers similar to the Ichiba v2 today and they would not work bcuz the oem studs came out too much. The mechanic told me I would need to cut the own studs. I didn't so I wanted to know if something different.
