Default I miss my "Bloody Beauty" already... just sold my IS!

Happy 4th of July, CL!

I just sold my 4th car, my 1st ever properly modded car (thanks to CL), a MRM/black 2Gen IS300 (Middle East specs)!

I was a bit in a rush and sold the car as-is for less than half of what it had costed me... a part-out would've probably made more sense but Saudi Arabia is a completely different market than the US... mods actually depreciate a used car's price even further.

It was my 4th car and I am so ready for my 5th! of course I want it to be a modded lexus as well, so I am wondering what's the best place to look for modded lexuses for sale? I am looking for a VIP/Executive black 2Gen GS and I am located in Philadelphia, thanx.

Sure, here is a link to my garage... the pix are at least a year old, I only dropped it a bit more and switched to Euro-style license plates since then (thinner and wider ones).

Mods depreciate value everywhere I think, unless you find the right buyer, but part outs are always a headache!

Thanks! I relocating continents lol I actually considered shipping the car but then I know it'll be a hard sell down the road since the 3.0 liter engine is not sold here

true but you'd think that with such expensive mods that it wont... especially that my mods flow I've had IS-F's in Saudi asking me to pull over and just asking me what limited edition was my car lol

I am trying to learn from my mistakes and save a bit more this time... any idea where to search for modified cars?

Yeah, a modified car never sells as well as a stock one. Just went through the hassle of parting out my $12k invested turbo Civic and sold the stock, running hatchback for $1700 (took 9 months!). But I definitely made back more than what someone would have paid for the complete turbo'd car outright.

So you say you want to purchase a pre-modified GS? You do realize that have the tuner/VIP culture is making the car your own. I'm sure you'd be more pleased starting from scratch and making the car your own.

Just my $.02

^^^^ well u could look in the classifieds but i think it would be hard to find a modded car. Since everyone partsout, there is not much luck. I have seen one car that was sold modded but that was a while ago.

You could try searching them on Craigslist, i think it would be tough thou

I agree with you 100%, but if I can find a GS with half the parts I am looking for, that would considerably reduce the total cost of achieving what I have on mind... it'll definitely end up becoming a unique car as well

thanks, there aren't any on eBay or Craig's. CL's new('ish) Garage "FOR SALE" option is so far the best thing out there for modified lexus cars

people questioned my change too..but the interior on a 2gs 01+ is amzing...i had an 99 but still just perfect. the fitment gods cry over the GS' hidden ability to stunt crazy offsets and widths. My most aggressive wheels on my IS were still 37mm less aggressive than those meisters in that picture. there is more interior room and truck space and you cant beat how sexy low and wide you can go.
my perfect example

if you need help with wheel offsets let me know im always glad to help every CL member here
thats a 265/35 on a 12
that will not fit under an IS unless your crazy and wide body like i want to hehe
