Default 1000 mile checkup

I live 98 miles from the dealership. They want me to bring my ISC 250 car in for a 1000 mile free service. Is this necessary? I am having 0 problems. I do plan on using this dealership in the future as I go there once a month.

Default Closet dealership is 100 miles one way.

1000 then 5000 is what my dealership said and I have a sticker saying that.. I realize it is free but it is also 100 miles 0ne way. If needed, I will do it but I do not want my car washed at all by nobody except ME.

I am on vacation staring next Fri. My car will have over 1500 miles by the time I return but less than 1000 before I leave.

IF they would not take very long, I could stop on my way to my vacation as I will be passing the dealership. I want a good relationship with my dealer

the 1000 service, just checks if everything is running fine. also checks out your fluids. doesnt do much. not worth a 100 mile drive there.

Unless you get a nice service adviser, they normally charge for personalization after the first 1,000 so definately get this done.

What do I need personalized that I might not be aware of? Am I missing something here?

What all can be personalized? My seats; Bluetooth; mirrors etc ?

Thanks for the help in advance.

1k check up is like 30min max if you make appt.... settings like when the headlights go off.... immediatedly or 30 sec after you get out the car.... lock n unlockin doors settings. There is a sheet somewhere that shows what can be personalized. Its just a check upto make sure everything is holdong up they way it should be I think.

it does seem like too long of a drive, call them and verify that you can get the personalized settings done when you come back at 5,000. they should agree, considering the circumstances. Good Luck !
