Ok. I can get a 2011 IS250 F sport in Red, which is my least favorite color for $36K or a used 2008 IS350 with Luxury and sports package for $30-$33K and has about 18K miles. It is black on black which I like too.

Help me decide. I test drove the 250 and the power is not that bad compared to the 250.

It's a personal choice pretty much here. If the lack of power doesn't bother you (to some it drives them insane) than just get the 250 for better gas mileage. But, don't buy the 250 in a color you don't like...why buy a car in a color you dont like? 2011's are prety nice, come with some nice little changes (mostly known for LEDs in the headlights) and of course its a new car...(unless you found a used 2011 already).

I would say get a 2011 F Sport, just look for one in a different color.

If the power difference isn't bad for you then get a used 250 and save money LOL I got about 5mpg more in the 250

Don't get the red if you don like it..... and don't get red bec I got red and I wanna be special! LOL

if you're fine with less power go for the 250 but try and look for a color you like don't spend 35k on something you don't like

No you can't... the sport and luxury packages are mutually exclusive. If you have a couple of pics (interior especially) we can probably tell you what's actually on the car, not what the misinformed individual who wrote the ad thinks is on it


That said, if you care about performance at all, get the 350. Then get a nice extended warranty from Jerry Johnson, and a set of F-sport sway bars, and it'll still be cheaper than the new 250 and a lot more fun to drive.

(I also personally think 08 models look a lot better than newer ones, but that's an opinion thing)

Get a 350 bro. The power will make you happy unless the minor fuel consumption will bother you over the 250. If you don't like red, forget that car. I have black and I'll tell you to get it if you like cleaning the car.

its a no brainer... the 350

got 250 loaners several occasions and they are dog slow getting on the fwy, to me the gas consumption diff between the two doesnt offset how much i enjoy having more power.

They Only have the one here at all the dealerships in the midewest. I will have to wait for a new shipment to see if they get one.

The red is growing on me. The wife loves the color. I prefer black, white, silver, then red. Also wish the seats were cooled in the F-Sport.

If I could find one locally for that price I would!

The 350 has the lux package, and the sports package includes springs, silver trim, pedals and I think thats it. My dealer even looked it up. Has wiper washers and the rear camera. I think I will have to test drive both again.


Also All I drive is highway to work, so gas mileage I imagine will be very close between the 2.

The 350 for sure. It'll hold it's value better since a new car depreciates a lot faster. I think the red looks great on the IS but personally, I think it's a chic color. Not to mention it says "pull me over" to every cop you drive past.

ive never even seen the red f-sport, but i think the color is nice....but why cant yu get the f-sport in another color? i would get a 2011 250 f-sport over a used 350, the f-sport is definately worth it and the small features are very nice..the seats, nav, wheels, suspension, led headlights, black headliner, pedals, steering wheel..jus to name a few...
