Rear headrests from an 2011 IS?
Just a quick Question.
I see the newer IS shows the back seat headrests now fold forward to prevent them from blocking the view out the rear window. I would assume they are directly interchangeable with earlier years, but can/has anyone verify that?
Were these offered earlier, like the 2010?
Thanks

Yes, 2010 models rear headrests can fold forward. I believe this was added beginning with the 2009 models.

I don't care about people in the back! They're lucky to ride in my car!
That's if I ever have passengers!

^^^Hahaha.
I noticed the rear headrests in my 2011 IS were like that but I never knew the 2006-2008 weren't like that.

I didn't know that they fold forward. I just removed them this past weekend to get more visibility! I will have to check that out! Thanks.

I think this is gonna fall in to the category of "I'd love to do that to my car, it's probably really easy too, but I bet Lexus gets a complete obscene amount of money for the parts to do it"

What parts do you think are needed? Like Kurtz said it seems pretty simple but probably not worth it.
I wish I payed more attention to the loaner cars I got. Anyone have any pics?

Mine were folded down when I bought it... I didn't like how it looked, so I folded them back up.

Ive got an 06 and just took mine out a few months back. Visibility out of the rear is GREATLY improved and it looks ok too.
I've only got the middle out now though, but it still improves visibility quite a bit.
