RX is for prescription for those who take their kids on a long vacation in it. Trust me, they will need it.

I honestly think they just made up the name after the fact since IS just flowed better with ES, GS, and LS. "Intelligent Sport" kind of doesn't make sense. And they couldn't just throw the word "Sedan" in there since there's a coupe version.
