Thanks for all the replies! No suspension mods done by the previous owner since it was leased. weather stripping is perfectly fine so I'm guessing the tires have to go. They have about 8K miles on them. Where would you guys recommend for tires?

Same exact complaints I have. Literally feel and hear every road imperfection. Plus I have the most annoying dash rattle and the subs also rattle depending on the song. My 2001 IS300 was a tank compared to this thing. Thank god I have my GS430 still otherwise the 350 would have been long gone.

The quietest tires I have used are Dunlop D3 winter tires,....I know, I know they're winter tires,...but night and day in terms of tire noise to my summer Dunlops. Is the dash rattle more of a squeak (something rubbing) or rattle (something loose/knocking)?

Depending on if you want the road hazzard insurance or not and how close you are to one of the installers affiliated with tirerack and discounttires, costco is also an option if you happen to have membership, and they carry the model your looking for. Of course they are priced higher but the road hazzard insurance is already priced into the tires (costco is easier for replacements imo). if ur looking at costco they always rotate their $70 off set of 4 tires between bridgstone and michelin

What I did was I went to a local Discount Tire, where most locations will price match (and they'll include shipping and tax as part of the pricematch if it's an online vendor). Called the location most convenient to me, asked them to price match, and told them the model tire I wanted. If they don't already have the tire in stock at that location, they can generally get it within 24 hours (at least all the shops in Atlanta). I called ahead in order to ensure they would have the tires and then set up an appointment.
Went to www.onlinetires.com (cheaper than Tire Rack) and loaded up the cart with the desired tires, entered ZIP code for shipping, then printed that page. Took the page with me to the shop and an hour later I was out the door again, plus saved hundreds of dollars without having to bother with shipping or waiting a week for tires to arrive from the west coast.

Noise
I had Toyo proxy4's,they were okay for first 8k miles but then got noisy.I replaced with the new general all season tires(650$) mounted, changed brakes to cryo solid rotors with ebr(?) red pads and switched sway bar bushings to polyurethane. The car is alot quieter now,but I do get a hum on worn parts of highway at 35-55mph.I would disconnect oem sub and replace with a infinity basslnk and splice it in where wire comes into amp to the rear of the passenger wheel well in trunk(there is a access door).Michael
