why you want to remove 350 ???
I don't want to remove it right now, but since I'm at 165,000 miles the engine will be replaced in the future (250,000k) range and I might go with this option instead of the 350 engine but it depends is the engine you have faster than the stock 350 engine...in regards to 0-60 4.6 seconds or whatever it is?

It will be on par and with an extra 50 ft/lbs of torque, it should be quite fun. Plus, you'll have the aftermarket support to have the engine built and boosted.

so I've seriously been considering doing this same swap strictly for the option to boost the hell out of the 3uz down the road. THe downside is that, with the 3uz and A761E 6 speed, it will be slightly slower than a stock 350 and quite a bit slower than my car is now. This is according to some simulation software that appears pretty darn accurate. I attribute this to the extra 50lbs of weight I added for the v8, and the slightly longer gearing in the A761E.

If its as plug and play as paulo says, this should be a pretty good way to put some real power down with some boost . THe compression ratio is a more boost friendly 10.5:1 instead of the current 12.1:1. What do you guys think? worth the effort initially? I'd be aiming for 400whp and 425torque after a boost which should be good for low 12's pushing 117mph in the 1/4.

I've found an engine/ecu for 2400 and the trans for 700. Seems relatively cheap until you add the costs of turbo and peripherals. We'd probably be talking about 6-7k total investment.

Yay or nay?

If youre committed to boosting the 3uz then it would def. be the way to go! Ive seen the tranny at the price you mentioned but couldnt find the engine/ecu under $3k. If you can effectively source the hardware for a good price I'd say go for it!

Personally, the resale value of my is350 + $6k would still NOT get me into an ISF...I would seriously consider the above option if I had the commitment and execution time available.

Paulo - whats good with that motor of yours!? Any turbos starting to spool ?

I'm in the same boat with the resale value of my car. I've been researching some salvaged LS430,GS430 and SC430's and found quite a few for 500 or less. I figure I could buy the whole car salvaged, pull the motor and trans and sell off or scrap whatever I can along with my is350 motor. I might even try to put a kit together to make it easy for future swappers.

I'm just not sure if a 4.3 + turbos will fit in the engine bay.

Paulo we wanna hear from you again!!! Let us know how its going.

I know Paulo already said it was a direct swap, but I had to confirm I wouldnt be surprised by something. Its all the same part numbers down to the bolt for engine mounts.

Nice! Physically fitting everything is a big step in the right direction! Have you started digging into the wiring harness yet? I'm curious to get a look at the drive shaft as well

Yay, because I want to do the same...I'm sitting at 175K and I know the time will come and this will probably be the route or just buy another 350 engine if someone in the US hasn't tackled the project and worked the kinks so I dont go broke trying to figure it out, since Im not a car expert or know anyone besides the stealership that will do the work for me....

I downloaded the wiring diagrams for the SC,LS, and GS just to be sure I've got everything I need, but I havent started going through them. They look similar obviously, but the devil is always in the details.

Guys i'm already on 15000km with this conversion and couldnt be more happy as everyone here they don't even realise that was is250 they all think that is original is-f as if i drive to my local lexus and toyota dealer i get all they staff to come outside to hear that beautiful ramble sound of v8 ....
guys i promise you it sound like nascar v8 and it only one of kind in this country . yes just need to get boost .

well there is space in the front of engine where i can mount the turbo just remember i got is-f kit so my engine bay got extra space as is bit longer then std 250

Awesome, that thing is a beast!!

Hey, do you know if it makes any difference which ecu you get? Does it matter if you get ecu from the SC430 vs GS430 vs LS430?

Saw this twins pic on an Aussie forum...sooo nice!!!

http://www.toydiy.com/parts/p_U_2007...TQKA_1107.html
12361‑50220 insulator 12311‑50150 bracket
and you need idler and bracket to replace the power steering on 3uz
