Probably best to take that tire off and see if there are any noticeable rub marks within your wheel well. That's the first step to tackle it. |
it would also help to tell us the tire size and if you have performed any suspension modifications (i.e. aftermarket springs, coilovers, etc.)
i have 245/30/20 falken 452.. and as far as lowering springs i got the megan racing 32 way full adjustable on the is350..lol that was funny about the weight im only 150lbs..
im actually new to the lexus scene, i came from having an evo x to the is350 so theres alot of info i need.. i actually dont know any good websites for after market or anything like that ..

and where are the signs that the tire is getting "cut" - along the sidewall, on the tread, and/or the shoulder blocks? have your fenders been modified - i.e. rolled, shaved, pulled, etc.? the more information you provide, the easier it is to diagnose your issue. |
sounds like you might need a fender roll.
Well it seen it's getting cut on the shoulder block. And yea that's my set up in the front.. I thought that you couldn't get ur front fenders rolled
the front fenders can be rolled (i should know), but the real issue is your tire size.
245/30-20 in the front on a 20x9 +35 is too wide to not cause clearance issues. and since you have not done any fender modifications to your fenders, that in combination with the wider tires will cause the issue you're having. two ways of remedying this. either modify your fenders, or switch to narrower tires - 225/30-20 for starters. just remember that while a new set of front tires may cost more than fender rolling, the former is essentially permanent. if you're not ready to modify the front fenders of your 2is, go with narrower tires w/ the same aspect ratio. |
^ exactly what he said. I've seen people run that size tires in the rear!
Ooh man I'm actually running a 285/35/20 in the rear... But if the front tires are to wide why is it only the driver side wearing out ??
Yeah check to see if your inner fender. Maybe the inner bumper tab that most people bang in. But your running a meaty tire front and rear.
