Go into your maintenance screen (if you've got the nav screen) and reset the oil maintenance ... other than that I don't know what it might be

Ha, you have to reset the oil light everytime u do an oil change for it to start over...

Also I think for whatever reason it only does 3k miles and not the 6k mile mark.

Check your manual:

with car on put the trip/odometer to your odometer.

turn car off

while holding the trip button, turn car ignition ON but not the car on. hold until you see your odometer finish cycling (5 circles i believe that eventually go away and it goes back to your odometer).

Sorry if i messed up a step, but it IS in your manual too!

Yep:

To reset the oil change system, follow the procedure below:

1. Turn the engine switch OFF

2. While pressing the trip meter reset ****, set the engine switch to the IG-ON mode. Continue to press and hold the **** until the trip meter displays 000000.

So in other words:
- engine off
- hold down trip meter reset
- tap the start/stop button twice, making sure your foot is off the brake, and continue to hold down the button until the display resets.

On your Nav screen, go to Maintenance then set the miles you want the reminder light to activate for your next oil change. A simple search would produce this info.
