That is what I want to know.
Tools: Mini Flat head screwdriver & small needle noise pliers

Take apart the silver connector that attaches to HID bulb.. Once carefully taken apart, the two wires become free and clear..!! Reverse steps once you have transferred the ballasts.

Time: Less than 5 minutes If you don't break anything.. But really it's self explanatory while your doing it.

It really is that easy.. Afterall, the light manufacture has to get the ballast in there some how guys..

This may have been the 3rd or 4th time that I have wrote this..

Joe I KNOW what the piece looks like, I took off the metal "casing" thats on it which also holds the "heatwrapping" . but the wires are still inside the black plastic, I tried pulling on them and NOTHING.

Thats why I keep asking.

The Black Plastic socket also comes apart... To ultimately release the two wires...
It's been years since I have done it, but it should be pretty self explanatory.

Sounds like "ohiois350" already did it... maybe he took pictures of the process.. ??

the process of taking that socket apart must be explain thoroughly for those who want to go that route. i tried taking it apart and ended up snapping the plastic and still i wasn't able to open it. just ended up cutting the wire which i didn't really wanna do.

Weird.. I took me like 2 minutes to take apart...

But that was a couple of years ago... (on my first try)

It really can't be that complicated.. There isn't much there to take apart.

sorry I didn't take any pics,
Vroom350 after you take the metal silver cover off and the plastic socket expose, on the plastic socket has two small clip, use very small flat screwdriver to pry that two socket plastic clip together apart, and you can pull out the wire, I would take some pics tomorrow
