Dealership games.
The thing that my dealership does that drivers me nuts is when they're trying to sell you a car...they're really good. Extra attentive and down to earth and they get back you right away...almost annoyingly so. BUT! When you have a problem with the car you bought just 2 months ago...they're incredibly slow getting back to you. It doesn't drive me too crazy because when they work on the cars, they do pretty well and if they don't they eventually get it right and give a loaner each time. Dealerships have always given me the heeby geebies though...ever since I was a kid. It's rare you find a sales guy or service guy that is the real deal and not a slime bag. I'm fortunate to have that and if i wasn't, I would probably comb the state until I found it.
To Micaiah though...your car is extremely rare, but don't think the F-Sport parts add ANY value to the car. I was ignorant enough to think this...that if I put the F-Sport package on my bare bones 09 250...it'll increase the value and when I do a trade in the dealer will be so excited to have my car cause these are Lexus parts!!! Ehhhhhhhhh...not so much. I basically didn't receive ANY credit for any of the parts (everything but the BBK and the F-Sport wheels I sold to Ken) that I had on the car. I had done it all...and kept it all Lexus...not one single part on my car was made by another brand. The dealer has such a hard time selling cars with F-Sport parts or anything aftermarket in general...they basically wiped my car clean of all the bad *** parts that I or anyone else here would love and didn't give me a dime for it on my trade in. On the bright side, I did get a great deal on my trade in for how many miles were on it and I did get to rob a couple of the parts (intake/sways) off it that I wanted...so I can't complain. Obviously your car is worth over $20k...but you'll never get what YOU think your car is worth from a dealer. It's like a house...everyone thinks THEIR house is worth more than it is. No one is going to love and value your car more then you. Overall...the salesman is a moron and I wouldn't shop/do business there again. I wish my car had parking sensors and radar cruise...those are options you know they'll love and give you $$$ for. It's stupid they don't like the F-Sport stuff but what do they know???

Dang, the truth really really hurts.
The guy checked in the back but didn't have any. Sounds like Lexus of Concord. They annoy me at times too. That price offer is insulting! Sorry to hear.
A while back I saw a USB ISF in the showroom while I was getting some warranty work done. There was damage done to it and when I inquired about it, the damaged was denied and I was given the run around. I asked him how much trade he would allow me and he said to have a seat. Nahh. Im not ready to do that yet.
Since then I decided that there was no reason for me to upgrade so I let that thought pass. In the meanwhile, the sales guy calls me constantly, trying to get me to come in, bring my car and he will see how much it would be worth for trade in. I called back once to tell him I wasn't interested but he still calls.
Today I went to the same dealership to see if I can touch/see/feel the Lexus car cover. My phone rang and it was the sales guy. I chuckled and told him that I was there but in the parts dept, come by. I was going to tell him straight up that I wasn't interested anymore.
He approached me, shook my hand, yada yada and I began to tell him that I wasn't ready to buy another car. He offered to look at my car and give me the best that he can for it. Since I was waiting for the parts guy to look things up, I told him "Go ahead. It's the gray one by the red mustang out there".
He wouldn't go out there. He wanted to discuss numbers. I said to him "Why don't you tell me what my car is worth?" He said that he didn't want to get it checked out until we talk numbers. I just turned to face the guy with the parts book. After a few seconds go by, he said to me. "Okay the best I can do is let you have the ISF for 45k plus tax and fees with your car as a trade." So in other words, [car name deleted to make CarbonDtls happy] is worth about 20k to them. Show me where I can buy another car exactly like [car name deleted to make CarbonDtls happy] with all of his F sport stuff, park sensors and dynamic cruise and I'm on it like white on rice.
How can he do that without looking at my car? It floors me how he kept calling (three times in one week) to come down to get an appraisal for my car yet when I AM there he won't do it.
