what's the best way to take off vinyl headlight overlays

Default what's the best way to take off vinyl headlight overlays

i have some fog overlays on car for maybe a year, now i wanna take it off, what's the easiest way to take it off? i did it using the " wet method".i heard it's pretty hard to get them off if you did the "wet method"?

Get it wet and use a razor. Just using some sort of lubricant like soap and your fingernails might be enough. I never had a problem doing it that way.

try to use a heat gun to peel off the vinyl and maybe goo gone or something along those lines to remove excess adhesive.

Exacatly what proper said!! But if u use the heat gun too long you could damage the headlight, so if you don't have experience than just use a hair dryer. Heat up a small section at a time and it will just come off in one big piece!! I recomend using zippo lighter fluid to take the excess adhesive off! I've had bad expereince with Goo Gone!!

low power on a heat gun or high power on a blow dryer.. then use soapy water or goo gone
