Default Need your feedback - intall diffuser or buy Vertex w/s4Play diffuse

I bought this Varis diffuser (attached) for my STi. I sold my STi awhile back and never got around to installing the diffuser.

That being said, I don't know what to do. I was going to have it installed on my Lex (this week), but I decided it's probably good to get some feedback from you guys first...such as what will you do?

A) Install on my IS. BTW: this was custom ordered (straight from Japan) for my STi. It literally took 9 mos before I got it. Second, we test fitted on my Lexus. It will require cutting the end piece to fit. Other than minor mod...the diffuser looks really nice on the Lex.

B) Sell the diffuser to another STi owner or even a Lexus owner. Then use the money to buy a Vertex rear skirt and add the S4Play diffuser.

Thanks in advance!

I've had that diffuser before on another car and also a Voltex Diffuser on my Evo. I think diffusers don't look right on a IS but that's just me. I love diffusers but its too aggressive for an IS.

I agree the diffuser does look aggressive on the Lexus, but at the same time it actually flows pretty good if your setup is aggressive, like I have on my Lex.

In all fairness, I attached JDMJNKY rear pic of his Lex. If I decide to sell, this is the rear skirt setup I plan to do, and I will add the S4play diffuser as well.

I'd say sell the STI defuser, you can probably do it quicker then it took you to order it...

And purchase the S4 one, cause honestly the fins on the one you have probably won't look as nice cause theres not much fins to go across as nice as the S4 ISF defuser (not to be confused with the ISX50 defusers).

The ISF defusers from S4 have more fins and i've seen an IS on here that modified a bit to get it on but looks hella better then the one ment for the isx50...

just my 2c

If you need to trim the the part that's not visible then install it! You'll be the only one with it.

Sorry, no mock up pics. But that IS with green Takata wheels look as if it has the Varis diffuser.

It is definitely unique on the IS, but at the same time, the more I look at JDMJKY rear end (nice a$$ by the way) LOL, I'm steering towards Vertex with S4/IS-F ver. diffuser right now.

I like the idea of the Varis diffuser, but not the fact that you have to modify it. If it's as rare as you say, sell it and get something like the Euroteck diffuser (that's designed for our cars).

Thanks for all the feedbacks so far....now, I'm confused again.

I'll try to take a mock up pic this weekend. Cause I'm seriously going to base my decision with your votes.

In regards to making modification to the diffuser Montgb. It's really a minor mod. I just need to cut about 3" on the flat end area. You will not even noticed the piece was cut. And reason for cutting the diffuser, it's too long - the flat end piece is hitting the Y-pipe.
