Default Averaging 14 MPH...expected wear and tear? premium gas?

My tank usually averages around 14 miles per hour, you read right. My commute is...well...at a snails pace. (Back and forth from Miami financial district to South Beach). id say, i am driving for 10 full minutes a day at 50 mph, otherwise i am moving slower than walking distance (for sure - pedestrians on the sidewalk definitely move faster than traffic).

1. So what should I expect in brake and tire life? what should i expect to pay thats not covered in my lease warranty?
2. Is it really worth putting in premium gas @ $3.70? The car is a 250 lease...and my MPG are like 17 at best. i would love to get regular. i am 3 months into 36 mo. lease...i have no intentions of buying the car at the end of the lease.thoughts?

1. What covered on your lease warranty? I dont know much, if anything, is covered under my lease warranty. switching to buyout soon.

2. It's no more than ~$5 extra to get premium, it's much better for the life of the car, so just keep using it.

^yeah, don't use regular. It's only like .30 cents a gallon more. You will probably get less mpg by using regular since you are throwing your engines timing off ... It will have to keep compensating for the lower octane.

As for wear I can only imagine having to replace the brakes sooner from all the start/stop you do in traffic.

You seemed to have modded your car a bit for something you're not going to keep. The extra cost of premium fuel is rather minimal. And when you do want to rev it up, you won't have the power for it.

they are all cheap diy mods (minus the tints, which were almost necessary)
