My IS350 got stuck in the snow, now I'm really considering to trade it
I was coming home from school yesterday and got stuck in 3 inches of snow trying to get into my garage. This is like the fifth time it's happened already and now I'm really thinking about getting rid of this car for an '07 BMW 335xi but I'm worried about it's fuel pump issues. Last visit to the dealer, the mechanic and I were talking about traction on this thing and he said I'm going to get little since my trunk is empty and the rear wheels are too wide for a light car. It's not my tires cause they are Blizzak LM-25Vs with 7/32 tread remaining. Now, that I got in my garage, I can't get out now with the 3 feet of snow in front of my garage and throughout the ally.
How does your RWD IS350 do in snow, for those who have one?

Yup, used it many times but don't prefer it. Before getting home, I got stuck at a slushy road right after an intersection. I tried snow mode, manual to stay in 1st gear, and lightly letting off the brake pedal without pressing gas, lightly pressing gas, but no of that worked. I finally got moving gunning it to 5000 RPM, but definitely made a scene doing that.

wow just cuz it got stuck your going to trade it on??? come on. I couldnt drive my 350 2 years ago in the snow so i decided to catch a ride with my parents in their van. Lesson learned whenever it snows just catch a ride form someone. I knew this would be a problem in the winter.

Whatever you do, don't swap it for the 3 series lol. Like a member posted, try using snow mode as well. I have a 2GS and it handles decent with snow mode, and all season tires. I can only imagine how much better it would handle with blizzaks. Also, it does take some getting used to driving a RWD in the snow.

I'm in the northeast got hit with 18 inches within 24hrs no problem. I use blizzak also 225/45/18 all around, sometime snow mode, always in sport mode to down shift, and always traction control off for that extra power. If you leave traction on it just gonna cut power everytime your wheels spin.
