Default S2000 AP2 Tips?

Hey guys does anyone have a picture of the S2000 AP2 Exhaust tips on an IS WITHOUT the GFX rear lip. Just on a stock rear bumper with no lip on it. Does it look right? Thanks guys

^ Yea imo the AP2 flows best with a GFX rear. Just got my AP2 yesterday and its a lot larger than our standard GFX tips.

You know for these s2k tips, is it a direct bolt on after you remove the stock tips?

Your local Honda dealer. Unless you can find a dealer on the net that discounts parts and is outta state to not pay taxes.

No, it dosent bolt right up. The OEM tips are tack welded on and the AP2 TIPS are actually bolted on the S2000 exhaust. There is a threaded insert on the S2K exhaust that the tip screws into. You could cut the insert off and get it re-welded to the IS exhaust and it will bolt right up. Tubing sizes are the same size

Really? I saw a thread on here where someone said you just have to remove your stock tips. Just give it some wiggle then yank it off which i have done. Then they just slid the s2k tips on and screwed them down tight.

Negative, how you going to screw the AP2 tips on if there isn't anything on your stock exhaust to screw into lol....whoever said they did that was lying....the s2000 exhaust has a welded nut on the exhaust to screw the tips into, the IS are spot welded which means you can POP it off fairly easily with a little pulling and twisting.

thanks for the info. what if you were to just drill a hole into the stock exhaust instead of having to re-weld the insert. will that still work?

All these guys in this thread i linked just pulled off their stock tips and slid on the s2k tip and tightened the bolt down on the bottom apparently. The bolt assume doesnt necessarily have to go into a nut or thread into the tubing like on the s2k. It just has to screw down til the bolt hits the muffler tube if that makes sense.
