Transmission Replacement - A960E
I've inherited a 2006 RWD IS250. I was getting the CEL and codes for various solenoids so I dropped the pan and replaced them. 200 miles later I am back in the same boat - christmas tree dash and can't shift higher than 3rd. I am shopping for a replacement tranny at this point. I understand that the 2014-2015 model years also used the A960E. I am seeing these transmissions listed separately and for a few hundred dollars less than the 06-13 transmissions.
Is the version in the 2014-2015 a direct replacement for the 2006-2013 A960E? I understand that there are some minor differences between the two, including possible the gear ratio, but I want something that uses the same TCM, wiring harness, etc so that it is effectively plug & play.
Prior to asking this question, I searched and couldn't find a conclusive answer. Some threads seem to indicate that it is possible, but the posters never made the swap (or at least didn't post any results afterwards). Thanks in advance.

I can only image they made several small updates along the way. That doesnt mean it won't work but I'm not going to say it does.

2006 - 2013 P/N - 35010 53060
The mileages and price differences that I am seeing on the later models (14-15) is 1/2 that of the earlier models (06-13). Physically they look identical down to the electrical connections and shift linkage location. I am seeing some online sellers indicating that the 35010 53060 P/N from the earlier models is compatible for cars 2006-2015. If that is true, it should also indicate reverse compatibility. I have also seen on this forum that someone has replaced an IS250 transmission with a JDM Mark X A960E Transmission (P/N 35010 22A30). The Mark X transmission shows compatibility 2004-2014.
I just haven't seen anyone post about successfully completing the later model swap into the earlier model IS which gives me a little hesitation.
