It's unlikely that both of your o2 sensors or the cats went bad at the same time. I bet that your maf sensor has crud on it that is causing the car to run very rich.

The o2 sensors cant compensate and consequently give you the errors on bank 1 and bank 2.

Also, make sure you dont have any exhaust leaks from the flanges.

Thanks guys yeah i knew those codes had nothing to do with the MAF, but Toyota told me i had a MAF problem so they wanted to replace it, yet my other mechanic tells me its fine. Ill just try cleaning it with some spray and see what happens. How would you guys go about fixing the catalytic converter issues? I was told its still under the power train warratny or the federal emissions warranty or something

When mine was covered in oil and the car was practically in limp mode, it didnt say anything about the maf sensor either. It ran incredibly rich and gave me 02 sensor errors.....I cleaned my maf, cleared the codes, and didnt have any more problems.

The ecu errors cant tell you everything.

Mine went out at 74K. I took it in to the dealer and they informed me that it was due to the aftermarket intake. I switched it out with the factory intake and the check engine light still came on. Purchased the MAF cleaner (mentioned in past forums) and did the cleaning. Put it back in and the check engine light came on again.

I took it in and the dealer replaced it under the extended warranty. I swapped it back with the LMS intake and everything is working fine. I have noticed that my MPG is now at 24-25 where it use to be 26-27.

Not worried since my lease is up at the end of January 2011...

Hmm i should remove my aftermarket intake before heading to the dealer. But then again the Codes i got are for the Catalytic Converters, hopefully that has nothing to do with having an aftermarket intake. I still have to try and clean the MAF sensor, even though my mechanic said that wasn't a problem, although Toyota Did.. I just hope the Catalytic Converters are under some kind of warranty

I cleaned it just because, My brother has an FJ cruiser and after offroading he cleans it, It reminded me to clean mine. No I didn't have any lights flashing.

Mine continues to through the MAF and O2 codes but I changed out the O2 sensors and DID NOT change the MAF and I continue to get these codes.. hopefully after replacing the MAF sensor I will not have this limp mode problem again... I am at 130k and out of warranty... any other ideas?

I had a p420 code come up on my 2002 Camry once. Almost 2years on. I installed these and the MIL stopped coming up, plus car passed smog.
