Why can't the Navigation System be better?
 

Something as simple as displaying album art from my iPod would make me so happy!!!

I have been seeing those commercials lately of the new MyFord Touch on Fords. It looks freakin' awesome! And I hate american cars with a passion!!

They display album art, show pictures of your contacts when you have a phone call, etc.

Is this something Lexus can upgrade on the 2010+ units. I would happily pay for that upgrade. (Even though it should have come standard)

I think car companies with good reputations hold back on a lot of features because they know that people will still buy from them even when the competition is offering all these cool features as standard.

I guess I'm confused. I already have a 2010 with Nav (non ML) So I already have a USB input.

^ Yup. It's true iPhone/iPod Touch integration using iOS 4.x "iPod Out" functionality. Google it. It also allows you to play movies from your iPhone/iPod Touch and lets you override the navigation and bluetooth nanny lockouts.

wouldnt want those features anyways. only thing i care about is speed/response of the system.

I think one of the problems with OEM, integrated ICE systems is that in just a couple of years the technology will be outdated anyway.
