It's on your owner's manual... Sorry, I forgot the steps otherwise I would have posted for you.

1.Switch the display to the odometer while the engine is running.
2.Turn the engine switch off.
3.While pressing the trip meter restart button, set the engine switch to the IG-ON mode (but do not start the engine or it cancels the reset mode).
4.Continue to press and hold down the button until the trip meter displays 000000.

took that out of the 2006 IS250 manual, hope it helps!

for the past few days everytime id start the car i would get a warning message saying "oil maintenance required soon". Today "oil maintenance required" came and stayed on. i noticed it came on at the exact mileage specified on the little oil change sticker on my windshield. my question is how do i get the notification to go away and when i do change my oil next week, how do i set after how many miles the notification comes back on?

I believe it comes on every 5000 regardless, but don't quote me on that hehe

Very true statement.

I'm not sure about the sequence stated arleady since it's slightly different than what I did for my '08, but here's what worked for me(right from my Service Advisor):

1. vehicle off.
2. odometer in normal mileage mode.
3. foot off of brake
4. press and hold the odometer reset button
5.with you other hand, trigger the start button twice once right after the other.
6. keep holding the odometer re-set - and the screen in the center should start to flash ----------- indicating the reset

You can actually set the warning to come on at 5k,4k,3k,2k and 1. You would do the squence that every above posted but every dash equals 1k miles.

So once you hold down the button you will slowly see the dashes disaper so it will mean this

all dashes gone light will turn again in 5k
- 4k
---3k
----2k
-----1k
