You know I was thinking. After you plastidip, can't you paint over it and peel off everything if you decide to???

That would be awesome.

Wow, the last two cars that were done came out amazing! How long did it take, from mask off to peeling?

It took me about 2 hour total, I did 4 coats of it and most of the 2 hour was because of the drying time.

Today is a good day to try out as the weather is extremely hot and dry. I did it with and without de-badge. I would recommend just do it with the badge on the car, and you will be fine. The finish looks fine from the distance unless you look at it closely. Will see how it sustain from car wash.

i didnt wait too long in between coats maybe just 10 mins each or less. I did about 5 coats to ensure i got every crevice. In my opinion it looks real nice. I might do the grille surround tomorrow, and wait to see how that Ebay LX mode turns out for the member that ordered it and if its good im going to order and plasti dip it

Hey Bigrahizzl,

Did you use a can of black? The up close picture made it look metallic-ish... I like!!

EDIT: Saw that someone tried the grill... looks beautiful...

Yea, i used black. In the beginning i thought the chrome was showing thru the layers, that why i did 5 coats. But in the end i like how it came out, looks nice.

just finished mine. ah to be honest from far away, it resembles the painted finish but i couldn't clean out the signs as nice so if you look close enough, you can still see specs of chrome. but for 5 dollars and 1 hr of work, i aint gonna complain. hats off to the original poster.

some pix. crappy camera, sorry.
