Exclamation ECU inside headligh housing???

So i went to Lindsey lexus of alexandria and because both my low beams are out. They told me since i had condensation/water on my driver side it shorted the ECU. Is there a ECU inside the headlight housing?? I asked the service rep. he told me its for when the headlights move (AFS??)

But they want $1800!!!! for a new housing, change bulbs, and fix the so called ECU...if thats the case, ill just seal up the housings my self and by a new HID set (correct, cheaper?)....but someone please tell me this ECU thing is a joke, and so is the $1821.00 they tried to charge me.

There is a post earlier regarding the ECU on the headlight housing.... it is TRUE. There is one located towards the bottem of the housing if I remember correctly.

EDIT:

The AFS Lighting ones have ECU to adjust the headlight beam direction and do calculations. Not sure for the non-AFS ones though.
