it mean 30% of the power to front wheel and 70% to the rear wheel its not a true AWD that is a 50/50. those tire size look the same setup and Papahoff and he been running them for the last 2yrs give him a PM he will let you know more on it Phillee

I've done some brief searching but haven't come across any specific answers... What would be the ideal size/fitment for an 06 AWD IS250 with 19" rims? plan on doing staggered setup and will eventually lower vehicle 1.5" or so on Tein coilovers.

Looking @ Enkei EKM3 wheels... 18x8.0 5x114.3 offset says 40 on enkei's website... I can't afford my vs-xx yet but am craving a change from these stock POS wheels. The EKM3's don't come wider than 8" so I don't think I can run a staggered setup... what do u guys think?

Also... how well will the wheels fill the fenders?

I'd like to see some pics of peeps running 19s and 20s on AWD that aren't dropped just to see if it looks strange with the huge gap on the AWD model.

Stock diameter is 24.97" (225/45/17)... I keep reading that you shouldn't run plus size tires that are more than 3% bigger than stock diameter tires/wheels (which the max would equal 25.719"). And that AWD models should be running with the same diameters & offsets. Obviously with people running staggered set ups on the AWD, this standard has been debunked if the difference is close. I'm curious if the max of 25.719" is a myth too. What is biggest diameter you can run without cutting/modifying the wheel well (say I am running 19s or 20s that are 8" or 8.5" wide as I know the width would make the difference in rubbing when the wheel is turned)? I'm basically looking for the biggest wheel I can get without a drop on an AWD. Thanks.

Pchan0, how did you find the same size rims with different offsets? Did you use some type of hub ring or something? Shouldn't an AWD non-staggered set up technically need the wheels to all have identical offsets (since the stocks are running 45mm all around)?

Nope. AWD systems only need the rolling circumference (or diameter or radius) to be identical or as close as possible (I'd say +/- 5% at absolute most). So even if you run a different offset, the wheels still roll the same exact amount, therefore it wouldn't cause any issues.

OK. I just ordered 19x8.5 +30 in the Front and 19x10 +38 in the Rear. They are LC818s.

I will probably go 235/35/19 and 275/30/19. My question is if I get Road magnet springs, am I going to have problems rubbing? Or should I go with H&R? Coils are out of the question.

hey guys, if you are running staggered wheels on awd cars, you need the overall circumference to be the same as the stock or you just need to keep the front and rear tire to roll with the same circumfernece? That's the question i want to ask long time ago. thanks
