iirc, you can't stream music via bluetooth from your iphone to the 2is sound system.

you'll need an ipod adapter kit or a vaistech/DICE unit to do that.

I Beg to differ. My 10 IS250 IS working just fine with my Iphone 4. I can stream music over bluetooth as well with no problems at all. To the Op, what steps are you taking when trying to pair the phone with A2DP?

Not true in his case since, he has a 2010, they do support streaming bluetooth audio (and it sounds fantastic, check my thread on iPod Touch + Bluetooth Audio).

To the OP, it should be the same with the phone as it is the iPod touch. You just have to pair them.. But remember the BTA to the stereo is not the same as the phone Bluetooth. Its easier to conceptualize in my case because I have a separate Motorola phone paired with the hands free phone, and an iPod touch paired with the stereo for music. In your case I'm guessing you need to pair twice, even though its the same device it could be two.

Yes, you must pair twice. Go to the audio bluetooth settings at pair it.

^This. I had a 2010 loaner a few weeks ago and the bluetooth A2DP streaming works perfectly (once paired).

I know I had to put in passcode of 0000 when I did mine. I don't remember details, the voice prompt walked me through it -- it was pretty straight forward with the iPod Touch, not sure if its the same with the iPhone or not. The car owners manual should get you there.

One thing I do remember, it said I may need to re-pair my phone after doing the BTA, but in my case I did not. So since your audio and phone are the same device (mine are not) you might try unpairing the phone, try doing the audio first then the phone? Just an idea.

I have 2010 IS and when I set mine up, the car's system set up the phone and media at the same time. You also might want to check the phones bluetooth settings. I have a Droid and it gives you an option to use bluetooth with either phone audio or media audio. DROID DOES...iPhone dosn't.
