I did mine about a month ago, and it still solid, there are some who had it for over a year in the forum and the spoiler is still on, the 3M tape is pretty awesome...

I drilled because of the up and down canadian winters. I didn't want to take chances with the constant temperature changes, -35C to +35C will weather the 3M tape. I don't want to have to fix it in a couple years. Drilled and that's all.

sorry to thread jack, but its not far off topic.
the black lining on the trunk are held by clips and this black casing that houses the escape handle latch thing (what are they called anyway)
i managed to get all the clips off.. which was easy.. but I just cant seem to get the black casing off. How do you do it?

I'm guessing you mean on the trunk release?

it like snaps off towards the bottom of the trunk. So if it's up, pull it towards you. It's kind of a pain in the ***. I was literally inches from cutting it, but then it came to me.

Here's a tip, wipe the area with rubbing alcohol before sticking on the 3M taped spoiler. Make sure to add more tape if you don't plan to drill. It will be on there solid.

So I just received the spoiler in the mail today and I'm really excited. When I opened it up the 3m tape seems to already be attached to the spoiler. You guys thing I can just throw it on there without drilling?

Those 3M tapes su#k!! In due time the end tips of your spoiler will rise.

If you plan to keep the spoiler forever, I suggest you use the industrial "bond" instead. Industrial bond stick like magnets.

Agreed - Rip that stuff off and go buy the 3M Industrial Strength.

I bought mine (tungsten pearl) from e-bay and the fitment and color was almost perfect. the total including shpping came to $110. I installed it using extra 3M tape to cover the area where it wasnt covered with double sided tape. its been over a year and is still flush with no gaps.
