Not sure exactly what you were asking but
Is it normal for the tires to bald at 17k miles?
Or are you asking if the bald tires are normal (safe to drive)?

NO for both questions.

Going completely bald at 17k miles is not common, previous owner must have been doing donuts. OEM Bridgestone should last at least or close to 25k miles.

I won't recommend driving this car with bald front tires.

This is an indication that the car was probably driven very hard and not maintained especially well. Find another car to consider, the IS250 is extremely common (far more common than the IS350), so best to keep shopping.

It's not that common unless it was driven hard like IS-SV stated, or probably the car was lowered and alignment wasn't done correctly.

Is it's bald on one of the edges, then it's probably from lowering which throws off the cambers.

If it's bald on both the edges, the bastard has been running his tires on low air.

Either way, I would avoid as IS-SV stated. The car seemed like it was driven hard.

That's certainly normal for the rear tires of a Porsche, but every driver and every car is different, plus road conditions, etc.

But from actual owners of IS250 and IS350's, I think OP is asking for some feedback.

Inner edge worn to the metal is normal on a 2IS front tire at 20k miles if you didn't get the factory toe alignment fixed.

Entire tire bald at 20k, not so much.
