no progress has been made since then. no tuning box installed.
but instead, i'm getting problems with my engine. the fuel economy is awful. the best i can get in the city is: 9.2 l/100km (24mpg) and 7.2l/100km(32mpg) on a highway.

sometimes there's a witeish smoke that smells like unburnt diesel...

turbolag on second gear is killing me.

have read lots of forums and these seem to be a common problem.
that's sad. a great car spoiled by an awful engine...

I considered buying a tuning box like race chip, but I have changed my mind. Forget everything you know about petrol tuning. Diesel is completely different. On a diesel, you always have the max amount of air, and the power is regulated by fuel only. What these tuning boxes do? They trick your ECU to believe that the air outside is too cold or too hot, therefore giving the command to overfuel. That's it. I don't believe anyone should do that. There's nothing that can substitute a proper remap.
Too bad lexus ECU doesn't allow a remap...

Sorry to be re-opening a fairly old thread.
Just one question:

Can any of you guys who modified their exhaust share a video of what the car sounds like now?

Sorry dude, I have already sold my car.
The sound didn't change much. It was still quite. It just added some basses
When I passed by parked cars, all of the alarms went of, still no sound from my exhaust came out
