New Rims TPMS Didn't Activate
 

hi guys,

just mounted my new rims with a used set of pre-april 06 TPMS (my car is pre-april 06). these haven't been initiated or programmed to my car yet but i noticed as i was driving around today there was no warning light for no tpms. could it be i lucked out and don't need to get them programmed? given i only drove around for about 5 to 10 minutes. pics coming soon once my car is dropped.

you need to drive around 50 miles for the light to come on i think

Takes the computer some time to register. It happens all the time when they reset mine after maintenance. It will eventually pop back on.

yah. i thought i was lucky enough to not have to program the tmps sensor, but after driving it for about 50 miles or so, the light came back on... just be prepared and dont freak out. Just have to go get the tmps reprogrammed.

Like I said, it varies. Once the computer registers, it displays the warning light if not installed or programmed.

It'll light up sooner or later, still need them registered.
