damn bro....that sucks. bad week indeed. hopefully the SOB who did this gets whats comin to them. do the paint job, but no need to dwell on it (although if it was me, and that ish happened on campus, id be going after whoever did this). get ready for prom, finish them finals, get that diploma, and let karma do its thing. sorry that this had to happen to you man!

That is almost exactly the same damage that happened to me except they did a crap load more of keying on the front on mine. My repaint was close to 7k, but on the bright side insurance got the entire car basically and it is more durable than the stock paint.
The funny thing about my situation is that a Porsche 911 parked close by was not keyed, but my car was.

If you have a small high school, word travels fast. Kids in HS love to brag about the stupid stuff they do. You'll find out if you are diligent and ask around. What happens if you get it painted, and it gets keyed again? I would find out the culprit first, eliminate the source of the problem, then get the car painted.

When stuff like this happens I wish I was rich... So I could just show up next day with another Lexus. Sure they would hate on that too but I can just imagine how they would feel. Damage someones property so much yet to see the victim not suffer at all.. Priceless!!!!

Considering you're in highschool, with a Lexus IS... yea. The people with nice luxury cars always tend to get keyed, regardless of if u have haters there or not.
I bet your parents regret buying you this car now. I highly doubt you're making the full payment or full insurance payment on it.
