Question about abrupt RPM changes at idle
First i would like to point out that this is the first time i have installed a subwoofer on any of my cars. My question is, is it normal for the RPM needle to abrupltly move a couple hundred rpms while at idle because of bass? This happens to me quite often when i am at a stop light and i know the reason is the bass because when i turn it off it completely stops and i never had an issue before my sub installation. So is this normal or did i do something wrong?

Ok maybe i shouldve included some of this before, I have a jl 12w6v2 with an alpine mrp-m500 amp, as far as installition, my brother and I installed it and we followed the DIY on club lexus. All i did was run the power wire from the battery, and t tapped into the speaker wires from the stock amp. The only thing that i am unsure about is the grounding since there was no specific place mentioned on the DIY. I personally grounded on the screw where the stock amp is held. Thanks any input would be greatly appreciated.
