you should have just not cut it or cut it by 0.75" when you decide to get a kit.. that would be way to sunk in

Yeah, for a GFX car, you would want to measure to figure out how far you want the tip from the muffler. These are 5.5" from the muffler face at the longest, just like the factory tips. Looks like GFX adds at least an inch to that...

I will have to pull out the real camera some time rather than the iPhone; it struggles a bit with these types of shots.

So you didn't want to go with the Magnaflow because it was 4.5" overall but you ended up putting a 4.5" overall tip on anyway?

I'm just curious because the one's you have look pretty good, but I like the Magnaflow 35127 better. If 4.5" overall is a workable w/o the GFX rear, then I may just go this route.

If you look at the shape of the magnaflow 35127, it has a tapered section between the large diameter and the small diameter. I don't think that would look good from the side of the car. Take a close look at that picture of the Jetta I posted earlier in this thread and hopefully you'll see what I mean.

I know what you mean. I don't like the visible tapered section, but I don't necessarily like how you can see where the "belled out" portion of the cherry bomb comes to an end when viewed from the side.

I still think the Magnaflows on the white 250 on page 1 still look the best. I just wish they were a touch shorter. I may just order those and see what I can fabricate out of it.

You can't see the taper on the cherry bombs unless you specifically try to take a picture of them like I did. All you see is the shiny large diameter section which does not taper. IMHO I think you will be disappointed like I was if you try those long magnaflows. You just can't cut them down enough.

The guys at the muffler shop used a pry bar - they are just press-fit on; no screws or adhesive...
