lol! i did this! and all that happened was it ripped the zip tie right through the tab on the bumper! now the tab it just like a you shape.. I know people have totally relocated a new screw location. And Chris..if you dont screw that part in the bumper just pokes out..

be careful hammering. i chipped the paint on my fender. waiting for touch up paint from sewell.

 

There's absolutley no need to relocate the tab. Plus it would be immensely hard to... welding involved ect...

Just bend it up and zip tie it. You can even bend it up, using the screw too.

 

i did this a few days ago and i can ride low like no other on my AIR.

lol i did..i really felt ghetto too tho. didnt work anyway. put the screw back in the original spot and continued the rubbing..

But thanks to Dsm's picture i will get on this when i put on my new bumper

Sorry to bring back an old thread but I find the posted solutions less than favorable. I followed these exact instructions and don't see how it possibly adds any clearance from rubbing. To begin with, the plastic fender tab that attaches to the bumper tab is NOT relocated and still continues to rub. Plus with a zip tie attached to the plastic fender tab and the newly bent metal rubber tab, the bumper edge sticks out past the fender and cannot be adjusted to fit flush.

 

You have to heat and mold the plastIc fender liner as well.

 

So how's that you are so low without rubbing if you haven't done this mod
