Wink Just got my first Lexus!!

Hey everyone i'm new to the forum, just bought my first Lexus, a 2013 IS350 with nav. I LOVE the car so far but I do have a few questions, first my car seams to follow all ruts in the road, no matter how small, pretty badly. Is this normal? Also my car has the Dunlop sport tires on it right now and i'm looking to get some high performance all seasons, does anyone have any suggestions? Also is their anything I should know about these cars? Anyway thanks for any help, and here are a few pics of my new ride!

Welcome to CL, nice ride and not so common color. You got the power so you'll be happy there. Here is a link all new members should read. Have fun with your new ride. Any plans to modify it?

Congrats on the car. Looks very nice in that color.

I just traded my 2011 IS350 in and I too have noticed that weird unsettling steering on the road.

I thought it was due to the factory suspension so I swapped everything over to F-Sport Catalog.

F-sport shocks, springs and sways. Even installed an IS-F steering damper but all those mods did was make the ride a little rougher and the car a little lower. My next mod was to do the IS-F Steering ECU to try and fix that issue but I never got around to it.

What I noticed was the car never really felt stable on the freeway, it would always need constant attention and input to keep it in the lane since every little imperfection in the road seem to effect it.

What I read was the IS-F ECU helps tighten up the steering a bit, making it a little heavier and not so twitchy. You should look into that down the road if the steering feel still bothers you.

Sounds like like you're describing is "tramlining". Could be as simple as the tires themselves; could also be the alignment.

Enjoy it!

I have the same color in my IS250, nice ride man. I have the Michelin AS3 tires and love them on mine, not a big fan of Dunlops and have a alignment done. Welcome to CL....

Thanks everyone for all the responses/welcomes. I did take my car back to Lexus today, found out the alignment was a bit off so hopefully that will help! The car has 13,500 miles on it now, so i guess ill give these tires a bit more time to wear down but when it comes time to replace them ill definitely give the Michelins a try.

Congrats on your new car as well! I can't wait to start modding it, off the top of my head I do know I want F sport sway bars, F intake, and F sport exhaust. Along will all LED interior/exterior lights, LED fog lights, window tint, and maybe the F sport lowering kit. Probably end up dynamiting the car and adding a sub sometime in the future. Does anyone know what I could do as far as upgrading the brakes? Now its time for me to start saving up my money so I can do all this!
