Default Black Chrome headlights?

I was thinking about painting the insides of my headlights black and saw the DIY on painting the emblems black chrome. Has anyone painted the chrome in their headlights black chrome instead of the normal matte black? Maybe emblems + headlights done in black chrome would look pretty swell

What you are thinking about is black pearl. I believe you need to dip a metal into the black chrome mix in order to get black chrome. I'd say it's a big difference in color.

I have thought about painting the headlights Black Pearl / Gunmetal, but don't want to go through the hassle of baking them. Be one of the first to do and maybe I'll follow .

I've thought about doing it before if I decided to go down the painted headlight housing route. I think it should look pretty good, so yeah... Be brave and be the first!

I was actually thinking about doing this the other day.. only thing i'm worried about is if the temperature will effect the paint in the long run..

it would solve the problem of headlights getting much dimmer after having their housing painted black

I actually have the grill, headlight/foglight housing all painted the same Gunmetal color with the balck pearl emblems. It is a subtle but large difference. Ill ty to get some pictures up soon.
