Question New 2007 IS 250 Owner

I'm a new 2007 IS 250 smokey granite mica lexus owner and had a question...sorry if i'm a novice to this whole thing. my is 250 has the stock halogen bulbs and i wanted to swap them out for h11 low beam piaa intense white bulbs. anyone have any advice/tips on what the best way to get that hid look is without getting a conversion kit? just want to swap the bulbs. thanks.

Check out the vendor section. They sell kits. I'm using the DDM Tuning kit.

Definitely go with hid's. They probably are cheaper than piaa's. I plan to go with the ddm kits since the quality was so great according to people on the cbr600rr forums.

i have the projector beam lenses with the halogen bulbs currently. is it as easy as just installing the hid kits (ballasts and bulbs) without changing the housing or anything?

Most HID kits are plug and play.

in general, do you know if they have a reputation for damaging harnesses or housings (melted, short-circuited) due to high temperature and burn rates?

Congrats, I love SGM! Well when I wanted to replace my halogen bulbs I went on ebay and bought blue halogen highs, lows, fogs and LED parking lights. It costed me less than 90 bucks for all 4 sets and I'm satisfied.
I got HID's on my infiniti and i cant tell the difference between my blue halogen bulbs on my is250 and the HID's on my g35. If you want the HID's prepare to do a little bit of modifying

i guess switching the halogens to aftermarket bulbs would be the cheaper/easiest way to get close to an hid look without actually hid. but i wont have the same intensity and wouldnt need to modify anything..
